The Ten Thousand Kings of Hell
A concept that I invented as part of my blog posts, I have tried to keep these being added to over time. The idea is that these can be threats, infernal patrons, and power players at some of the most terrifying levels- but that all of them are flawed, suffering former mortals seemingly 'rewarded' with power. The article on Infernalism may assist in understanding some of their aims drives, and goals.
(The idea is not to write 10,000 of them- that's a feat well beyond my capabilities. The point is that there are so many, they can never be stopped or all killed. The forces of the Hells are inexorable and unstoppable - but you can inconvenience them!)
Some of the Ten Thousand Kings of Hell
The Illuminator King - The only source of light in his lightless realm, desperate for praise and adoration
The Apostle of False Faith - Blessed with great wisdom, but unable to speak honestly
The Exarch of Blades - Forever frustrated by his own lack of perfection, tormented within his own armour
The Sanguine Warden - A traitor who can never trust others, his name cursed by all who hear it
The Gorger Cardinal - Unable to satisfy his incredible cravings, and driven by his filthy desires
The Decapitate Captain - Mutilated and beheaded, searching forever to be whole once again
The King of Clangour - Tormented by a mighty helmet that renders all sound an unbearable cacophony
The Dhevaraja of Decay - All that he touches turns to dust, driven by his desire for tender flesh
The Dark Warden - A Kingmaker and manipulator extraordinaire, constantly manipulated by creatures beneath his skin
The Lady of Unquiet Flesh - Driven by incredible levels of body dysmorphia and constantly mutating
The Patriarch of Nightmare - Feeding on and feeling only the loss of hope, joy and wonder
The Marionette Maestro - Cursed that their servants cannot understand or enjoy their artistic genius
The Carbuncle King - Desperate for ever great riches and wealth, but able to enjoy none of it
The Voidknight - A silent warrior who know secrets that damned him eternally
The Gelid Vojvodkyna - Forever labouring to free those unjustly imprisoned, and seeing all she loves crumble
Tarthralloth, the Master of Malformation - With a form as fluid as water, unable to realise his own dreams of obedience
The Sisters of the Sacred Razors - Two sisters merged into one body, silent and murderous but forever trapped with one another
The Blademartyr - A sneering, swaggering elitist forever tormented by his failure
The Rendered Regent - Patron of those beset by enemies and trying in vain to accomplish their goals
The Hollow Despot - Momentarily entranced by each new experience, forever hungering for greater joys
The Radiant Queen - Compelling her servants to self-flagellation, excruciation and execution for the slightest disobedience
Ereumis the Insatiable - A sinner never satisfied by his empty belly, grown to the size of a mountain
Servants of the Ten Thousand Kings of Hell
Drozgokath, Cleaver of Defenses - a fiend renowned through the many planes for his prowess in the courts
Talraxas, the Accountant Infernal - a banker and deal-broker for fiends themselves
Thol'Gadak, the Constable of Hell - a fiend who maintains peace between the Kings of Hell themselves
George, the Architect of Abomination - a carpenter who can't speak about who he's worked for, but you've definitely seen the results!
