This copper ring is decorated with a mantra in ancient language, directing thoughts inwards. It is designed to hide the intentions and identity of the wearer. Statistics: the ring draws any Detect [subject] spells towards itself, so the wearer detects for all purposes as if they were a slightly-magical copper ring (not Evil, not Undead, and so on). This can make things awkward if the spellcaster is trying to detect something like precious minerals or living creatures, however. (This makes a good item for lower-level PCs or NPCs who need to hide their alignment or identity, without being as powerful as a Ring of Mind Shielding).
