Prophecy can be a useful element to introduce in your games, but just having "when the moon is high, the demon lord is nigh" kinda stuff isn't terribly interactive. What can really play an exciting part is elements that need to be interpreted, or could be interpreted in multiple ways. This could be playing on words and spelling ("while cranes circle overhead" might mean birds, or construction equipment), or different meanings ("two queens fall" might mean queens dying, falling over, or dropping a deck of cards, let alone the interpretation of 'queens').
Here are some random elements you could use to generate your own prophecy, whether it's from a random street-corner madman or a holy oracle. You should be able to combine these for your own use with some mangling to combine them, or just leave them as broken phrases, whatever seems easiest.
